Indicator 13: Transition IEP Record Reviews, Data Collection Process, and Levels of CDE Support – Overview and What’s New SY2020-2021

Summary: This memorandum requires that IEP providers complete new IEP plans by June 2, 2021. It also provides information on conducting and reporting IEP meetings, providing resources for IEP providers to learn to adjust IEP meetings to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, this web page includes a section of new COVID-related instructions for distance learning IEP meetings, thereby ensuring that students on an IEP are given access to the maximum number of available services.

Summary: This web page specifically give teachers mental health and wellness resources for students with disabilities of various ages. The web page provides resources for early childhood to adult needs, and provides certain resources for “intensive interventions” for students with particularly high levels of need.

Statewide Assistive Technology, Augmentive and Alternative Communication (SWAAAC) COVID-19 Resources

Summary: The Colorado Department of Education and the Center for Inclusive Design and Engineering have partnered to provide free or reduced cost assistive technology for students with disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. These resources include digital and audio book resources, digital learning tools and programs, tools for delivering services to students using AAC, literacy supports, tools for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and so on.
