Summary: This document extensively discusses Puerto Ricos plan to help students with disabilities return to learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. It includes expanded health requirements and safety protocols for students with certain disabilities due to increased susceptibility to COVID-19. It also notes potential sensory or disability-related problems that may exacerbate students’ mental health concerns, and how educators should respond to such concerns. Protocolo para la Vigilancia de COVID-19 en el sector educativo de Puerto Rico en respuesta y preparación a la apertura de escuelas

Summary: This document lists considerations for returning to school during the COVID-19 pandemic. For students with disabilities, it requires that schools continue to provide additional online learning resources, such that distance learning is still a viable option for such students. This protocol also requires that students with disabilities receive additional mental health assistance, in order to best facilitate routine changes related to COVID-19.
